Collection: OSGEMEOS

Gustavo and Otávio Pandolfo
São Paulo, Brazil, 1974

OSGEMEOS move fluently between languages, combining muralism and traditional pictorial practices to produce an ever-expanding dreamscape. A São Paulo-based duo, twins Otávio and Gustavo Pandolfo have included the visual repertoire of graffiti into contemporary art since the mid-90s, developing works on various media, from paintings to site-specific installations. Their characters blend identities of Brazilian folklore with figures from the São Paulo hip-hop world in fantastic allegories of social life in large cities. In their trajectory, OSGEMEOS have intimately associated their pictorial practice with a graphic solution for the urban landscape’s homogeneity.
